FIRST TRI-NATIONAL CIOFF® YOUTH MEETING FOR A CULTURE OF PEACE – PERU

The event was held in the city of Tacna – Peru, from 16 to 17 November. It was organized by the CIOFF® National Sections of Peru, Bolivia and Chile, with participation of Youth Commissions from Bolivia and Chile as speakers. The meeting had the purpose to create a tri-national youth commission to strenghthen the brotherhood and colaboration among the three countries through the culture of peace, and the importance of youth participation within this processes.

Among the activities held during the meeting, the delegates from each National Section held meetings with Consulates in Peru, gave conferences about Youth pariticipation in preservation of Intangible Cultural Heritage, traditional games exhibition. traditional dances shows.

At the end of the meeting, it was conformed the tri-national commission which is going to develop a project for the next year and held a second meeting. After this event, Peru’s National Section is closer to create its Youth Commission.
