Villahermosa, Tabasco 18. February. 2020
Among the activities held year after year at CIOFF Youth, the State of Tabasco had the responsibility of carrying out the “coloring book” activity within the month of February, with Tuesday being the day it was held. Managing to impact a total of 12 children, between 4 and 13 years of age, who attend the children’s workshop “Dances and popular dances” of the division of the Center for the Development of Arts (CEDA) at the Universidad Juárez Autónoma de Tabasco.
The Activity was directed and carried out by Alitzel Guzmán Sosa, CIOFF member of the youth Tabasco delegation, with the supervision of Professor Andrés Antonio Hernández Garfias, CIOFF Tabasco Delegate.
This work consisted of bringing each drawing to life through colors. It was carried out during the first day of class at the beginning of the semester, as a recreational activity whose purpose is to learn more about other cultures around the world, as well as the meaning that each one has and especially the importance of preserving all traits that identify us, Being childhood the best stage to instill the value and respect for our traditions and folklore, that is why this activity lasted 1 hour, in the classroom corresponding to the children’s workshop, so they used chairs, tables and in some cases, the children chose to color on the floor, leaving them to feel more comfortable since the children had the opportunity to color a drawing, to read its meaning, to know each country that had touched them and at the end they were explained the purpose of the activity taking a moment to share the experience and their comments, to close with a group photo, showing the work done.
It should be noted that in advance the parents were made aware of the activity and asked for permission to take the evidence with their consent and we were given this authorization with confidence, which is appreciated.
I attached photographs as evidence of the work done.
